How Adventuring Into Life collects, uses and protects your personal information, and your kids', in plain language.
Last updated October 31, 2026
This policy explains how Adventuring Into Life Inc. (Adventuring Into Life, or AIL) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. It covers our website, registrations, programs, email list and job applications. We're based in Kamloops, BC, and we follow BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's federal privacy law.
Privacy contact: AIL has a Privacy Officer who is responsible for how we handle personal information. You can reach them at info@adventuringintolife.ca.
We only use personal information for these purposes, or for a new purpose if we ask you first or the law allows it.
When you register, sign up or apply, you agree to us using your information for the purposes above. For kids, we collect information from and get consent from a parent or guardian.
We only send marketing emails to people who have signed up or who have registered with us, as Canada's anti-spam law allows. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we process unsubscribes right away (always within 10 business days).
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@adventuringintolife.ca. If it means we can't safely run a program for you, for example without emergency contact or health information, we'll explain that first.
Some of our service providers, including Squarespace, Stripe, Mailchimp and Google, store and process information in the United States and other countries. Information stored outside Canada is protected by those providers' security measures, but it is subject to the laws of the country where it's held and could be accessed by authorities there. You're welcome to ask us about how a particular provider handles your information.
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a website. Our website uses:
We don't use these tools to collect health information, and we don't knowingly target ads to children.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, turn off personalized Google ads at Google's ad settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, like checkout, from working.
Most of our programs are for kids, so we take extra care with their information. We collect it from parents and guardians, use it only to run programs safely, and limit who can see it. Our website isn't meant for kids to use on their own, and we don't knowingly collect personal information online directly from children.
Parents and guardians can ask to see, correct or remove their child's information at any time.
We take photos and short videos at programs to share with families and on our website and social media. If you'd rather you or your child didn't appear in photos we share publicly, choose the photo opt-out at registration or email us. If you change your mind later, we'll stop using those photos and remove them from our own website and social media posts where we can.
If we use your information to make a decision about you, we keep it for at least one year after that decision so you have the chance to ask for it, as BC law requires.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including:
No system is perfectly secure. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we'll tell you as soon as we can and explain what we're doing about it.
Send your request in writing to info@adventuringintolife.ca. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We'll respond within 30 business days, as BC law requires. Most requests are free. If a fee applies, we'll tell you the amount before we start.
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact our Privacy Officer first. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
We'll update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we'll let registered families and participants know by email.
No. We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with our team and the service providers we need to run our programs, as explained in this policy.
Only the coaches and staff responsible for your child's program, and emergency services or medical providers if your child needs care.
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails, or email us at info@adventuringintolife.ca. We'll remove you right away.
