What the day looks like
Part bushcraft, part nature play.
No screens and no sitting around. Kids spend the whole day outside, learning real skills and playing hard.
Bushcraft skills
Kids learn the basics of fire building and shelter building, plus how to use bushcraft tools and tie useful knots. No experience needed, and we teach everything from scratch.
Free nature play
The rest of the day is open outdoor play: exploring, building, running, climbing and making up games. It's the kind of day kids come home tired and happy from.
Learning to be outside
We run in all weather, so coaches teach kids how to layer up and stay comfortable outside all day, whatever the forecast brings.

When are the next Pro D Day camps?

What ages are Pro D Day camps for?
Kids ages 5 to 13.
What do kids do on a Pro D Day?
It's a mix of bushcraft and nature camp. Kids learn the basics of fire building, shelter building, bushcraft tools and knots, and spend the rest of the day exploring, building, running, climbing and playing outside.
Does my child need any experience?
No. We teach every skill from scratch, and all the bushcraft gear is provided.
Is it a drop-off program?
Yes. Pro D Day camps are full-day drop-off programs. Times, location and meeting details are shared with each date and sent again after you register.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We run rain, shine or snow, so kids need to be dressed in proper layers with waterproof shoes or boots. We only cancel for unsafe conditions, and if we do, we'll let you know as early as possible.
How many kids are in each group, and who are the coaches?
We keep groups small, at about 1 coach for every 8 kids. Every AIL coach completes our own training before leading a group, all lead coaches hold first aid, and all coaches working with youth have criminal record checks with vulnerable sector screening.
Is financial help available?
Our campership program helps families who need support with program costs. If cost is a barrier, reach out and we'll do our best to help.
