Training Wheels · Ages 5 and up
This is one of the most exciting things we get to be part of. That moment when a kid realizes they're riding on their own — it's magic every single time.
We use a proven, patient approach to help kids build the balance, pedalling, and confidence they need to ride independently. We've had remarkable success with this — and we're honest that the 3-lesson package is where we see the best results. One session is a great start, but three sessions is where it really clicks.

Skills & Progression
Tell us what you're after and we'll build the lesson around it. Here's a sample of what we cover:
From training wheels to independent riding — building balance, pedalling, braking, and confidence from the ground up.
The foundation of everything. We work on stance, weight distribution, and how to stay in control on varied terrain.
Two of the most underrated skills on the trail. Proper technique here unlocks everything else.
Reading lines, managing speed, and building the mental skills to ride with flow instead of fear.
Drops, rock rolls, rooty sections, steep chutes — we'll work through technical terrain progressively and safely.
For riders ready to leave the ground. We build up to it carefully — technique first, then confidence, then sending it.
Good to Know
Don't have a bike? No problem — we have bikes available to rent for your lesson. Just let us know when you book so we can have the right size ready for you. If you also need a helmet, flag that too and we'll sort it out.
Rental availability is subject to size and scheduling — book in advance to guarantee availability.

Questions
We work with riders 5 years and up — all the way through adults. If your child is younger than 5, get in touch and we can chat about what's appropriate.
Nope — we have bikes available to rent for $20. Just let us know when you book so we can have the right size ready. If you need a helmet too, flag that in your inquiry.
If you want the fastest progression, go private. If you have a friend or partner at a similar level, semi-private is great value. Have a group of 3–5? Small group is the way to go. Not sure — just tell us in the form and we'll help you decide.
Every kid is different, but we've found the 3-lesson training wheels package is where we see the most consistent success. One session is a great start — three is where it really tends to click. We're honest about this because we want kids to actually get there.
Yes — all of our coaches are certified through either GSMBC or PMBIA, two of the leading mountain bike instructor certification bodies in Canada. They're trained educators, not just strong riders.
Lessons typically take place at Juniper or Dufferin — both are great spots for skill development across all levels. We'll confirm the location when you book based on what you're working on.
We're an outdoor company — we ride in most weather. If conditions are genuinely unsafe we'll connect with you ahead of time to reschedule. Check out our cancellation policy for the full details.
