Grab Your Spot →Why Valemount
Valemount is one of BC's best-kept secrets, a jaw-dropping mountain town tucked between the Rockies, Cariboos, and Monashees with world-class trails to match. We've been hosting this retreat for five years, and every year women leave saying it's the best weekend of their summer.
Whether you're still building confidence on green and blue trails and want to level up your skills, or you're charging blues and blacks and looking to push further, this retreat is built around progression, community, and having an absolute blast. You'll ride with certified coaches who genuinely care about your riding, shuttle up for maximum descents, and end each evening with a group of women who just get it. Accommodation arrangements are flexible so you can set up your stay in whatever way works best for you.
Women leave this weekend as stronger riders. Whether it's finally riding that feature that's been in your head all season, discovering you can hold a line you never thought possible, or simply riding with more confidence and flow, the progression over three days is real. Come ready to push yourself and you will surprise yourself.
Riding Groups
We split into small groups based on ability so every rider is challenged at the right level, never held back and never in over their head.
Green & Blue trails · Perfect if you're newer to mountain biking, building confidence, or want to solidify your fundamentals in a supportive environment.
Focus: cornering, braking, body position, trail reading, and flow
Blue & Black trails · For riders comfortable on blues who want to push into technical terrain, steeper features, and more challenging lines.
Focus: steeps, drops, jumps, speed management, and advanced trail features
Weekend Schedule
Arrive in Valemount and get settled into your accommodations from 3:00 PM. Get your gear sorted and get comfortable before we gather as a group for a welcome get-together. We'll go over the weekend plan, chat about goals and skill groups, and do some intention setting and grounding to get everyone settled and ready for what's ahead.
Morning skills warm-up with your certified coaches, then we hit the trails. Shuttle service takes you up so you can focus on the descents. Lunch is eaten together at the trailhead. Pack a bag lunch from wherever you're staying, or swing by one of the local cafes in town to grab a wrap or sandwich on the way out.
Our biggest day. Full shuttle service, longer runs, more vertical. By now your group is clicking and the trails are feeling familiar. Pack your lunch and we'll ride until the legs are happy-tired.
One last morning on the trails before we pack up and say our goodbyes. Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Don't be surprised if you're already looking at dates for next year.

Here's what to expect for meals over the weekend:
Breakfasts and dinners are self-catered. If you choose to stay in the group log cabins, they have full kitchens with large fridges and everything you need to cook. Everyone brings their own groceries and makes their own meals. If you're staying elsewhere in Valemount, there are great local restaurants and cafes to explore throughout the weekend.
Lunches are eaten at the trailhead. Most riders pack a bag lunch and bring it along, or swing by one of the local cafes in town to grab a wrap or sandwich on the way out.
Grocery tip: There is one grocery store in Valemount with good basics, but limited specialty items. If you have dietary restrictions, stock up in a larger centre before you arrive.
Optional Group Accommodations
We have beautiful log cabins available for those who want to stay together as a group. Full kitchens, large fridges, mountain views, and a basecamp feel that adds a lot to the weekend. That said, staying in the group cabins is entirely optional. Group cabin spots are priced separately from the retreat fee and reserved directly after registration.

Getting Here
Valemount is perfectly positioned for a great road trip from across BC and Alberta. Here are approximate drive times from major centres:
What to Bring
We don't offer rentals through the retreat, but District Bike Shop in Valemount has rental bikes available in town. A great option if you don't want to travel with your bike. We recommend booking ahead.
Peace of Mind
We take safety seriously so you can focus on riding with confidence.
All coaches hold current first aid certification and are trained to handle trail incidents quickly and calmly.
Valemount has an emergency care centre in town. Medical help is never far away if needed.
Full cell service throughout town, and almost the entire bike park has coverage. You're never truly off the grid.
We ride in small groups based on ability, typically with a 1:6 coach-to-rider ratio. Your coach knows your riding well and can give you real, focused feedback all weekend.
The Community
The progression women experience over three days is one of the things they talk about most. Certified coaches who know what they're doing, small groups, and trails that challenge you in exactly the right way add up to real improvement, fast.
The typical age range is 30 to 65, and the common thread isn't skill level. It's a love of the outdoors, a willingness to push yourself, and a good sense of humour about wipe-outs. Many women come back year after year because of how much they gain each time. And a lot of women come alone and leave with riding partners and friends that last well beyond the weekend.
