Adventuring Into Life

Programs for women and kids to build confidence and connect through adventure and experience.

We are a growing company, founded in 2016 by Andrea Locke. The business was started to encourage girls and women to get into mountain biking and adventure sports. Andrea grew up a competitive skier, moving into coaching and saw a trend of girls dropping out of sport. She wanted to create a space for girls to get involved and create opportunities for them to push themselves in a comfortable environment. There was also a desire to get more women involved in coaching sports! Both of those were successful and still a key part of the business.

Since then, we have grown to offer programs for all youth! Our programs operate primarily out of Kamloops, BC, one of the go to destinations for mountain biking! We also have a small selection of programs in Vernon BC, Vancouver Island, Grande Prairie AB and other pop up locations.

When you ride with us, you are directly contributing to financial and volunteer efforts for our local trails! Our entire community thanks you for that and we also encourage you to purchase a membership or make a donation to Kamloops Mountain Bike Association

Our lead mountain bike coaches are all level 1 PMBIA certified, or equivalent and all of our other coaches under go training programs with the business to ensure high quality programing!

+ Andrea

Founder of Riding Into Life

Andrea first got into mountain biking when she was offered a job teaching basic bike skills to school groups in Grande Prairie. She loved the freedom she felt riding the trails and the adrenaline rush she experienced as she challenged herself in new ways. Andrea quickly fell in love with mountain biking and, wanting to share her passion with others, she founded Riding Into Life.

What Andrea loves about facilitating bike camps is seeing people grow and discover the joys of biking. She loves to see how proud people are when they accomplish something they didn’t know they could do, like riding a new trail or taking a corner with more confidence than they had before.

Even when she’s not on her bike, Andrea loves spending time outside. Her newest passion is gardening, and she enjoys learning about native plants and incorporating them into her meals.

+ Breanna

Grande Prairie Lead

Breanna’s passion for mountain biking began when she signed up for a clinic. By the end of that clinic, she was hooked! That was more than a dozen years ago, and Breanna’s still biking up a storm.

Mountain biking has helped Breanna stay mentally and physically healthy. She sees tremendous value in coaching women and helping them build confidence in a supportive environment.

Biking fills Breanna with joy. She wants to share that joy with as many women as possible!

"M— has never been more confident on her bike than she is now, especially on hills - and she has even taken a few falls and continues to get up and keep riding."
